CONCOR Southern Region operate a - CFS/RCT (CFS/MVN) in port city of Milavitan and Cochin.

CFS/MILAVITTAN:

The Container Freight Station, Milavittan (CFS/MVN) is a common user CFS operated and managed by Container Corporation of India Ltd., CFS-Milavittan located at Tuticorin, was commissioned in January 10, 1996. Spread over an area of 11 Acres, the combined terminal is opened for both EXIM and Domestic traffic, by Rail and Road. The Rail handling is done at Marshalling yard in Tuticorin Port.

CFS/Milattan has vast infrastructure and provide the following facilities to the Trade :

Reception and despatch of Road vehicles with containers from/to the main Gateway port Tuticorin and to other ICDs.

Handling and transportation of containers by Road

Temporary storage of loaded and empty containers and Export/Import.

Stuffing/De-stuffing and consolidation? Deconsolidation of containers.

Paved area of 10000 sq.mt for stacking loaded exim containers.

Separate area of 5 Acres for stacking empty containers.

Separate Warehouse to store Export/Import, LCL/FCL and Bonding cargo area of 43,040 sq.ft

Chain link fencing entire Area.

Two and Four Wheeler parking for Users.

Round the clock lighting facility, security arrangement and reputed Surveyors for container and cargo.

DG set for power backup.

Fully computerized container/cargo tracking and billing system.

RCT/COCHIN :

RCT Cochin was commissioned in December, 1990. It is situated on Wellington Island, Cochin known as Queen of Arabian Sea, surrounded by backwaters. Spread over a total area of 4.20 acres, the terminal has modern facilities to offer a wide range of logistics service to the customers. The terminal is open for both EXIM and Domestic traffic, dealt through Rail and Road. The terminal receives inward domestic cargo from TKD, KKU, KXG, and GOTN and export containers from WFD and IGU by rail and road. Import containers from Cochin are mainly to the southern destinations i.e., Bangalore (WFD), Coimbatore (IGU), TNPM, SNF, and MVTS and domestic containers are moved to Tughlakabad and Balasore.

Infrastructure and Facilities available in RCT/Cochin :

Paved area 10,854 Sq.Mt.

Separate area earnmarked for ISO/DSO and Loaded/Empty containers.

Dedicated area for Scrap and cashew containers.

The terminal has a total area of 17363 Sq.Mtrs.

Round the Clock Security manned by private security agency.

State of the art facility i.e. Equipments, High speed wagons etc.,

Admin building with dedicated blocks for customs, CONCOR and customers i.e., CHA, Freight Forwarder etc.

Parking facilities for CONCOR, CUSTOMS and customers vehicles.

Cochin Terminal is custom notified area for scrap. The yard is also notified for storage of imported raw cashew containers from IGTPL.

Fully computerized container/cargo tracking and billing system.

Rail Services by CONCOR :

RCT/CHTS has one full length of rail siding with a holding capacity of 40 wagons and offer weekly schedule train service to ICD/WFD and ECD/Irugur and Other destinations. As per requirement of the customer for full rake.
